Meet Mothh
Gentle Mothh is a queer, Southern, Taiwanese American interdisciplinary artist, qigong teacher, and advocate based in the Hudson Valley. Rooted in 5 Element Theory and embodied practice, her work centres qigong as a pathway to nervous system regulation, creative resilience, and collective care. Through art, teaching, and community-building, Mothh explores how embodied regulation supports sustainable movements, meaningful creative work, and ethical leadership. She brings a sustained focus to honoring and amplifying the lived experiences of sex workers, approaching advocacy through relational and body-based frameworks. She is the author of Giving Body (Eureka! Press, 2025) and teaches qigong classes that support people navigating marginalisation and creative work. A former sex worker, Mothh brings an integrated, embodied lens to her work across art, advocacy, and organisational leadership.
